How To Clean Scum Off Of Glass

March 17, 2010

In the recent months, we have discovered that we can use a rag, water, and some Odor-Z-Way to clean glass windows. With these three components combined, you can actually clean scum, water stains, etc. off of glass that would usually be very hard to get off. You also will get the glass much cleaner with less effort. Since Odor-Z-Way is environmentally safe, this entire process is done without any chemicals.

As I said before, you simply need a clean rag, some water, and Odor-Z-Way. You want to dampen your rag with water. You do not need the rag to be soaking wet. Next, add the Odor-Z-Way over the damp rag. You want to use enough Odor-Z-Way to where you can fill the palm of your hand with Odor-Z-Way. Now, start scrubbing your glass. You will notice that the water stains, scum, etc. are coming off very easily. Simply keep scrubbing the entire glass piece until the glass is clean. You will notice that the glass looks like it has been polished and there are no signs of streaks or other missed spots that commonly occur with other glass cleaners.

Odor-Z-Way is an abrasive product but not abrasive enough to scratch surfaces, such as glass. The water actually softens the Odor-Z-Way enough to where you can polish and remove impurities from the glass but not cause any defects to the glass. This is what allows you to get your glass so clean to where it almost looks like the glass is not even there. Another benefit of using Odor-Z-Way, is that the product is environmentally safe to use. Odor-Z-Way is not a product that is going to cause harm to the environment, you, your kids, or even your pets. The next time you have some glass that needs cleaned in your home, reach for Odor-Z-Way. I know you will be much more satisfied with Odor-Z-Way.

Dad, the Trash Can Smells Again!

March 9, 2010

I don’t know about you, but I get very tired of hearing “Dad the trash can smells again.” It seems like I am constantly cleaning out my trash can due to odors that get stuck in the trash can and start leaking into our home. When you have kids, you never know what kind of smells that you are going to get coming out of your trash can. The same is true in a lot of other cases i.e. fraternity houses, dorm rooms, kids rooms, diaper genies, etc. I think we all get the point that trash can odors can be very disgusting. I have tried a lot of different products and methods to take care of this problem, but have found only one that has actually worked.

I use Odor-Z-Way to take care of the odors that come from my trash can. This product has saved me from having to clean the trash cans once a week. I now can clean them once a month. What I do is sprinkle the odor-Z-Way in the bottom of the trash can, before I put a trash bag in. Once I have done this, I will then put the trash bag in the trash can and add some Odor-Z-Way into the bottom of the trash bag. As time goes on and the trash bag begins to fill up, I will add a little more Odor-Z-Way inside of the trash bag to help keep the odor down. There is basically no clean up because the Odor-Z-Way goes out with the trash. This really helps keep our odors down on a daily basis.

This is a very easy solution to an annoying problem. We always have some Odor-Z-Way underneath our sink with our cleaning supplies. The moment the odor starts coming back is when we get the Odor-Z-Way out and sprinkle the product in our trash can. This also allows our trash bags to be used until they are completely full. This saves us money from buying so many trash bags as well as help save the environment because we are not using as much plastic. The is really no way you can go wrong with using Odor-Z-Way due to all of the benefits that this product offers.

Odor-Z-Way Compared to Other Products

March 2, 2010

In recent articles that I have written, you probably heard me talk about how Odor-Z-Way is a far superior product to any other product out on the market.  Well, I want to go in and explain why and how Odor-Z-Way is a far superior product to all of the products out on the market right now.  I am going to talk about the comparisons between Odor-Z-Way and other enzyme products (Oust, Febreeze, Ozium, etc.), carbon, and other natural zeolites (solid products such as Odorzout, odor crystals, etc.).

First, I want to take a look at Odor-Z-Way and the advantages is has over its competition.  Odor-Z-Way is odorless.  Odor-Z-Way has absolutely no odor to it because the product only absorbs impurities.  Odor-Z-Way is white in appearance.  This means that the product is a clean and will not discolor, stain, or cause any defects to you carpet, clothing, upholstery, etc.  The product is environmentally safe, human safe, and pet safe.  You can sprinkle Odor-Z-Way on your carpet and your kids can walk through it and the product will not cause any harm to your kids.  You can also apply Odor-Z-Way directly onto your pet to remove odors and there is absolutely no harm caused to your pet.  The product is predictable and has a larger tunnel structure allowing the product to obtain the same results over and over again and absorb more than any other product out on the market.  With being a solid product, Odor-Z-Way absorbs and removes impurities completely so they are not still present.  Odor-Z-Way is an FDA approved product.  The product is also a multipurpose product with hundreds upon hundreds of uses.  This allows you to get rid of 20 other products in your cabinets and replace them with one safe product that will do the job.  This also saves you money!  Last of all, Odor-Z-Way is a true American made product.  Everything that goes into making the product is found right here in the US.  These are the main benefits that we have found that Odor-Z-Way has over its competition.

I now want to talk about enzyme products that are out on the market.  Enzymes are spray type of products that usually have some type of odor to them.  Some enzymes also claim to neutralize odors and stains.  The problem with enzymes that have an odor to them is that they are masking over odors.  The odor actually never goes away.  When an enzyme like this is sprayed you just have a stronger odor and in some cases if the enzyme is sprayed on a particular gas, you could possibly create a toxic odor.  Enzymes are also not safe to spray on your pets or around your kids.  For instance, if your pet gets sprayed by a skunk you cannot spray certain products onto your pet to remove the odor because they could cause serious health issues.  This is the same thing for your kids.  As for enzymes that supposedly neutralize odors and stains, they do neutralize them, but they don’t get rid of them.  I had an instance where a particular enzyme product was used to get rid of a stain in carpet but left the odor.  The carpet was then dampened and Odor-Z-Way was put on the carpet to get rid of the odor.  The Odor-Z-Way took out the odor but also started pulling the stain back up out of the carpet.  The stain was actually never removed.   It was just neutrally broke down to where it looked like it was gone.  Enzymes can also discolor and cause other defects to your carpet, clothing, upholstery, etc.  You really must be careful when working with enzymes!

Now let’s take a look at carbon.  There is a golden rule with carbon against Odor-Z-Way.  In gas (odor) absorption, whatever carbon can do Odor-Z-Way cannot and whatever Odor-Z-Way can do carbon cannot.  In many instances, Odor-Z-Way and carbon put together can do a lot of good but for the general public Odor-Z-Way is far superior.  There are many products out on the market that use carbon currently.  Carbon does not have the absorption capability that Odor-Z-Way has.  Odor-Z-Way lasts much longer and can absorb much more than what carbon can.  Carbon is also a dirty product, so it cannot be used for stain removal.  Carbon is also becoming very expensive.

Last of all there are several natural zeolites.  These are the odor removal products that you have seen that look like small rocks and claim to do really good at absorbing odors.  In all reality they do absorb odors but not that well.  In comparison to Odor-Z-Way, they can only absorb half of the amount that Odor-Z-Way can and they cannot do stain removal because they are a rock which means they have dirt in the product.  These products also have smaller pore sizes not allowing them to absorb as much as Odor-Z-Way.  They are also inconsistent.  One time you might be able to absorb an odor and the next time the product doesn’t work at all.  You really never know what you are going to get with the natural zeolite products.

Odor-Z-Way can be used in many more areas than enzymes, carbon, and natural zeolites.  The advantages of Odor-Z-Way greatly out way any of the competitions and through extensive testing it has been proven that the superior product on the market is Odor-Z-Way.

Pet Odors & Stains

March 2, 2010

Everyone that owns a pet knows what it is like to have an odor or a stain caused by their pet.  You could find yourself faced with this problem with absolutely any type of pet that you may have, whether it is a dog, cat, hamster, etc.  I would like to share a solution to these types of problems that actually works, takes care of both problems at once, and is safe to have around your pets as well as yourself.

The solution that I am speaking of is a product called Odor-Z-Way.  As I was saying before, Odor-Z-Way has many unique uses as compared to other products and is one that actually works.  In all of my experiences I have tried many other products to remove pet odors and they partially work, don’t work at all, or mask the odor.  The same is true for removing stains.  Most products that I have used either remove a stain partially, don’t remove the stain at all, or make the stain worse.  With Odor-Z-Way you can actually do both at the same time.  I have listed some of the advantages of Odor-Z-Way below:

  • Pet and human safe
  • Environmentally safe
  • Odorless
  • Multipurpose
  • FDA Approved
  • Dry Product
  • Hundreds upon hundreds of uses
  • Absorbs and completely removes odors and stains

I could go through several different experiences where I have used Odor-Z-Way to clean up pet messes, but I want to share one particular experience with you.  We had a dog that was 14 years old and he acquired parvo.  Of course, parvo is not a good disease for your animal to have.  Our dog would be walking around the house and have spots of blood that came off of him and land on our carpet.  We eventually had to put our dog down because there was not much more that we could do for him and he was basically just suffering at this point.  If you have ever had blood in your carpet you know how hard the stain is too remove, especially in white carpet.  I would follow our dog around with Odor-Z-Way and sprinkle the product on the areas that he would deposit blood.  I would then rub the Odor-Z-Way into the blood with my foot and leave the product there until the next day at which point I would vacuum the stain up.  If there were spots that I missed or if the Odor-Z-Way didn’t pull all of the blood out the first time, I would come back in with a water mister and dampen the blood stain with a little water.  I would then apply the Odor-Z-Way and rub the product in with my foot.  Of course, I let the Odor-Z-Way sit on the blood until the area was completely dry before I vacuumed the spot up.  I will tell you that I have never found a product that pulled a blood stain as well as the odor with such ease.  There was minimal work, I had to use this one product with water, vacuum the area up, and the problem was solved.

I wanted to share this with you because I wanted you to understand how Odor-Z-Way works.  There is no other product out on the market that works this efficiently and is guaranteed to work.  I can only share my knowledge and experiences with you but the decision is yours.  I challenge you to try this product for yourself and you make the choice if this is the best product on the market.  I’m a believer in what Odor-Z-Way can do!

What is Odor-Z-Way? The Most Powerful Odor/Stain Absorbent

Odor-Z-Way: The Most Powerful Odor/Stain Absorbent

By: Jeremiah James, Odor-Z-Way

It was Baron A.F.Cronstedt; A Swedish mineralogist that discovered and named Zeolite a natural accruing mineral, that when heated appeared to boil.  The Greek words (zein) means “To boil” and (lithos) meaning “stone.”  The bubbling Cronstedt saw, was the release of water from the pores of the crystals.  Each crystal has thousands of tiny channels that form a cage like structure.  If you were to take the channels from a teaspoon of these crystals and spread them out, they would cover the area of an entire football field.  It is these cages that make Zeolite a molecular sieve, which is used in many applications, in a variety of industries.  Natural zeolite was the first ion exchange water softening media, exchanging the sodium ion for the calcium and other mineral or metal ions.  The benefit was to eliminate stains and scale build up in plumbing systems.

Throughout the 1900s to the present, scientists have been developing new synthetic or man made zeolites.  Even the space program has been studying the effect of zero gravity on growing zeolite.  Today zeolites are used in industries such as the petrol chemical, medicine, food and beverage, water conditioning, gas manufacturing and separation, electronics, air purification, and hydroponics, just to name a few.

As scientists learn more about cause and effect, we will be able to correct mistakes made to the environment, develop new target specific drugs, find better ways to store energy, and live longer productive lives.  Will zeolite provide all of the answers? Probably not, but it does play an important role in today’s society. One such product is called ODOR-Z-WAY, a zeolite crystal with an appetite for odors. ODOR-Z-WAY is Odorless, Environmentally Safe, Human Safe, Pet Safe, and FDA Approved.  Odor-Z-Way has a neutral smell, meaning that this product will not and can not leave a perfume smell, because it does not cover odors, it eats them. The cage like channels formed in the crystal draws in odors and holds them.  Along with having the capability of removing odor, Odor-Z-Way is also capable of removing a variety of stains out of carpets, clothing, cement, your skin, etc.  What kind of odors and stains does Odor-Z-Way remove?

Odors

Food, Animal, Pet, Cigarette Smoke, Gasoline, Diesel, Paint, Perfume, Locker Room, Ammonia, Skunk, Trash Can, Diaper, Musty, Dead Animal, Urine, Manure, Gym Bag, Shoes, Among Many More!!!

Waste or Cleanup? Which would you choose?

February 26, 2010

We all know that the economy is not a very ideal place for the consumer all the way up to the manufacturer these days.  So, everyone that I know as well as everyone that you know are probably trying to find ways to cut back on costs.  In recent years our economy has been a throw away society.  By this, I mean that we buy something and if it gets a tear, a stain, anything, we throw it away.  This is not the case anymore.  We all must find ways to cut back on costs.

The example I personally have is with the carpet in my home.  I had friends over for a small party and a couple of them got out of control and spilled some red wine on my carpet.  Of course, I did not find the spills until the next morning.  So, luckily I have a product called Odor-Z-Way that I use to get almost any stain out of my carpet as well as odors.  I dampened the stain, put the Odor-Z-Way over the stain, and rubbed the Odor-Z-Way into the stain with my foot.  I then let the stain dry and vacuumed up the area as the directions said to do.  Guess what?  The stain was completely gone.  My point to this entire story is that I could have easily said that I didn’t want to mess with it and called the carpet cleaner up to come clean my carpets, or, if my pockets were deep enough, I could have ripped my carpet completely up and replaced it.  Either way I was going to spend way more money that what I did to clean one spot.  I think I spent $10.00, put minimal effort into cleaning the spot, and saved my carpet and money.  I have found many other uses that this product has saved me money on as well, but this was my most expensive savings story that I could possibly have had.

This is why I ask the question waste or cleanup?  Would you rather spend $10.00 to save your carpet, clothing, etc., or spend $50, $100, $1,000, $5,000 to replace your carpet, shirt, etc.  I leave it to you to decide what you would do.

Extinguish Gasoline Fire!!

February 26, 2010

I recently was playing around with the Auto Odor-Z-Way and found out that this product would put out gas fires!  It is the craziest thing ever.  I had a little gas spill on our shop floor when I was doing some work on our buggy.  A buddy of mine decided that he wanted to have a cigarette and used a match to light his cigarette with.  He then threw the match, that was still on fire, on the ground right into a small puddle of gas.   Of course, the gas started on fire.  So out of instinct, I grabbed the Odor-Z-Way that was sitting next to us on the bench.  I always leave the Auto Odor-Z-Way on my bench so I can absorb oil off of my floor, like a floor dry would.  Anyway, I sprinkled the Odor-Z-Way over the fire.  Amazingly, the product put the fire out with no problem.  I thought this was kind of weird, so I tried doing this in a controlled experiment.  It worked again!  While the Odor-Z-Way was still on the gas spill, I tried to light the spot back on fire again.  It would only spark a little for a second but would not light back up.  I came to the conclusion that the Odor-Z-Way absorbed the gas vapors not allowing the gasoline to start back on fire.  I will definately keep this in mind to use Odor-Z-Way the next time I am around a gas fire.

How Odor-Z-Way (man-made zeolite) was started

February 26, 2010

Odor-Z-Way was actually created from the water conditioning industry.  After figuring out a variety of uses in water conditioning it was found that a larger size of the same crystal could be used as a superior odor and stain removal product.  I have listed the short story below about how Odor-Z-Way was origionally invented in the water conditioning industry.

In 1925 Emmett Culligan, with help from Fred Lindsay, formulated the process to produce synthetic zeolites. Together, they started the Northwestern Chemical Company. Fred’s brother, Lynn Lindsay, was one of the company’s salesmen, who later started the successful water softener company bearing his name.

In the late 30s and early 40s, there were two zeolite plants: one in San Bernardino, CA, and the other in Yuma AR. By the late 40s, the company had produced a high-capacity zeolite with capacity of 20K grains – doubling capacity of domestic water softeners.

The Changing Marketplace

That accomplishment was soon overshadowed by the development of synthetic – or plastic – resins in the early 50’s providing even higher capacities of 30K grains per cu ft. With increased competition from plastic resin manufacturers, Culligan closed the Yuma zeolite plant.

Zeolites are first cured outdoors in large beds before refining and processing. Here, the mild weather and prevalent sunshine of the Kansas City region provides ideal conditions.

The remaining zeolite facility in San Bernardino was later purchased in 1985 by Glenn Gruett, the owner and founder of Water-Right, Inc., a water softener manufacturing firm based in Appleton, Wisconsin. Water-Right had previously used Culligan’s zeolites extensively and successfully in a majority of the softeners they manufactured. They were also one of the largest customers of zeolite at the time.

With the purchase of all rights, equipment and technology, Gruett moved the entire operation to Phillipsburg, Kansas, under the corporate name of Mineral-Right, Inc. This operation became the first modern synthetic zeolite plant in the country. Through carefully controlled manufacturing, zeolites are now produced in several different grades, each possessing different water conditioning characteristics.

The Northwestern Chemical Company closed during the Great Depression. Emmett Culligan pushed onward, starting the Culligan Zeolite Company in 1936 in Northbrook, Illinois. The zeolites manufactured through his operation had a capacity of 10,000 grains per cu ft – two times better than processed greensand. This accomplishment essentially created the modern water softening industry we have today.
